“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
It seems our world has become a great melting pot of truth, a buffet of belief systems, where members of the human race can help themselves to whatever they fancy, or whatever works for them. A little bit of truth here, a nice idea there, a dash of popular opinion on the side. Before long, one has what the Bible describes as a “form of godliness” devoid of power. It looks like the real thing, like silver and gold, but underneath is nothing but wood, hay and stubble. In the information age which we are living, there are so many definitions of what truth is or could be, truth is no longer seen as being absolute, but rather changes to suit the lifestyle of us humans. However, to this confused state/condition,our Lord Jesus Christ still declares, apologetically, and unequivocally:“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
